Really happy with this vest

I've had this vest 8 months now and you wouldn't know. The material still looks brand new! It's still very comfortable and its still a joy to wear. The material against the skin is so soft and makes me want to wear it all day every day.

Great for work

I work as a doorman at a nightclub and often have problems dealing with people who are intoxicated. The vest is great for ensuring I can deal with dangerous situations with limited risk and doesn't effect my movement or flexibility which is perfect.

Many vests I've owned in the past have given me problems with my body temperature. I often got too warm when wearing it and spent every day waiting to be able to take the vest off. This vest does the opposite. I often forget I'm wearing the vest. The ease it gives me to breath and move is perfect and I will definitely be using Safeguard for my future vests.

HOW DO I KEEP A VEST CLEAN?
How to clean the outer vest
  1. Remove all protective inserts and any attached accessories from the outer carrier
  2. Make sure any fasteners such as zips or velcro adjustments are closed
  3. See the wash instructions on the carrier care label, you will see a selection of the below icons. We recommend that you hand wash the carrier with a soft cloth or brush
  4. To dry, hang or tumble dry on low heat (do not tumble dry the protective inserts)
How to wash the soft protective panels
  1. Remove the panels from the carrier
  2. Gently wash the panels with a damp sponge. Use a mixture of cool water and mild detergent
  3. Wipe off any excess soap with a damp sponge
  4. Dry the panels with a cloth
  5. Only reinsert the panels into the carrier once they are fully dry
WHAT ARE SAFEGUARD CERTIFIED RECLAIMED SOFT ARMOUR PANELS?
Our solution offers a cost-effective, accessible alternative to buying body armour by utilizing partially reclaimed soft armour panels to deliver exceptional protection at affordable prices.

The reclaimed aramid materials are inspected and graded by our expert in-house armour technicians to ensure they meet our strict quality criteria. Once they have passed the inspection our soft armour panels are then paired with a new carrier to produce a high-quality ‘as new’ finished vest.

All of our vests come with a 1-year warranty and are tested to NIJ standards giving you confidence in the quality and protection of our products.
HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT PROTECTION LEVEL?
Choosing the correct protection level depends on the work you are doing. There are several different levels of protection and each level refers to the ballistic threat, edged blade threat, and/or the spike threat that they can protect you against. It is vitally important that you purchase the correct threat level for your needs to get the maximum levels of protection. Read more about the various levels of protection, here.
IS IT LEGAL TO OWN BODY ARMOUR?
Many countries have restrictions around body and where it can be bought and sold however in most countries it is legal to own body armour. In the United Kingdom, there are currently no legal restrictions on the purchase and ownership of body armour. You can read an overview of the different breakdowns on our blog.
DOES THIS PRODUCT HAVE A WARRANTY?

As part of our commitment to protecting you, we provide high-quality products. In order to guarantee the safety of our products and keep our manufacturing standards exceptionally high, we test everything from vests to helmets and plates. We offer a 1-year warranty on all our body armor inserts, making SafeGuard Clothing's products the only protection you will need.
